We were all caught up. It was on a public holiday tn this part of the World, my wife and l was to attend a burial ceremony of an important personality in my home Town in Edo state. At 8.00 hours, we arrived Ore bridge which was about 50 kilometers to Edo state, we saw a lady standing by the road side. My wife was on the sterry, and as we got to where she stood, she politely waved on us to give her a lift. I asked her to stop. Since I was very close to her I demanded to know, how we could be of assistance to her as we were on the same route. I came down from the passenger seat to open the back seat for our August stranger, three hefty armed robbers walled us. The lady we were about to give a lift, quickly brought out a pistol from her back pocket and ordered her to surrender the car key or life. She gave out the key and we were dragged in to their den. At the den their Boss welcomed me with a hard slap which disturbs my memory. They emptied my pockets and left us perhaps to die in cold at night. The next morning at about 6.10am an old who was on her way to the farm met us well spent and showed us the way. I reported our exploits to the police, who are to know the whereabouts of our car.
Thanks for joining me!
